About Us
Experience Clean Air
You worry about making sure the water you drink and food you eat are pure and free of chemicals. But what about the 11,000 liters of air you breathe every day?
Every bedroom, office, public waiting area, daycare or classroom contains millions of decaying skin and hair cells, pollen, mold, insect feces and many more unhealthy particles and gasses. Breathing this air is like drinking water from the street gutters, or eating food from the trash. Have you thought about the damage these pollutants can do to your respiratory and immune systems? We have, and that’s why there’s Purifan.

Convert Your Ceiling Fan into a Powerful Air Purifier
Purifan is a patented 5-stage clean air system that clears the air of unwanted and irritating particles, using the same amount of electricity as a 60-watt lightbulb. The bladeless ceiling fan design quietly and efficiently circulates air throughout your entire room, so there are no stale, “dead” spots like with floor air purifiers. It’s simple to set up, and you can install it onto your existing ceiling fan base. Purifan was invented in 1998, and has been made in the USA ever since. It’s available in four designer colors, and we’ve sold more than 45,000 units to date.
How Purifan Compares to the Competition
Purifan is the lowest total cost air cleaning system that truly works in homes, businesses and school classrooms.
The Competition | The Purifan | |
---|---|---|
Total Cost of Ownership Over Many Years | Much higher cost when you consider energy, cleaning and limited life of the product | The LOWEST total cost of ownership, and lowest cost per CFM of air filtered |
Air Changes Per Hour (ACH) | Very low on most units about 1 to 4 ACH, very poor airflow | 40 ACH in 20 x 20 x 8 ft room and covers entire room area |
Volume of Filtered Air | 100 to 300 CFM | 2,200 CFM |
Room Air Flow | Cleans only close to unit | Airflow pattern filters all the air in the room |
Location in typical room in a home, classroom or office | In a corner or on a shelf, in the way on the floor | Middle of the room, overhead and out of the way |
Cleaning and Maintenance required by typical home or business owner | Ionic models must be cleaned ever 10 to 14 days. Electrostatics cost $125/month | In a home, change filters once a year. Twice a year in a school or office area. Lowest cost. |
Warranty | Typically 90 days or 1 year | Lifetime warranty |
Noise Level | Fan models are very noisy | Purifans are very quiet |
Energy Cost per CFM | Much higher energy costs, especially on Smokeeters | Uses on 1/2 amp on high, or 60 watts. Very low per CFM |
Impact on HVAC costs | No impact because no airflow | Moves all the air in the room, lowering energy costs to heat and cool the room |
Odor Reduction | Most models have little or no charcoal for odors | Purifans have 3 odor layers, each 2 square feet of activated charcoal. Best of class. |
Benefits of Purifan
Powerful, Effective
Medical studies have shown there are health benefits for allergy and asthma sufferers who use an air purifier that produces at least 10 air changes per hour. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends 12 or more air changes per hour to reduce the spread of contagious illnesses through particle droplet transmission, including colds, flu, TB, whooping cough and others.
Energy Efficient
Huge Savings
Super Quiet
Many floor or shelf-model air cleaners use a small, high-speed fan motor to move the air, creating a sound like a vacuum cleaner. They create so much noise, it’s difficult to sleep, talk, watch TV or carry on a normal conversation. You could turn them to a lower, quieter speed, but that makes them ineffective at cleaning the air. This is why so many people have replaced noisy ineffective floor or shelf air purifiers with a Purifan.
Easy to Install
Low-Maintenance
Same Comfort as a Ceiling Fan
Lifetime Warranty
Most floor, shelf and ionic air cleaners only offer a 90 day warranty, and the low-cost models frequently break or the plates get corroded easily so they stop working. Larger, high-quality floor models may last a few more years, but eventually the electronics or motor bearings wear out, requiring expensive repairs or a new unit. Commercial air purifiers used in smoking applications, sometimes called electrostatic smoke eaters, have a service life of only 24 to 36 months before they typically need to be replaced with new models.
